We have been informed by Mr Phillip Strydom of the Mozambique Foreign Business Chamber that the information supplied to MINA and News24 in South Africa with regards to the arrest and custody of Mr Peet Prinsloo, husband of slain Matola resident Petro Prinsloo, to be incorrect.

“Although I have been informed by three different sources that Mr Prinsloo was arrested and in custody, this information turned out to be inaccurate. We have received via News 24 confirmation that he is currently in South Africa. We wish to withdraw the comments with regards to his arrest and custody only, and offer our unreserved apologies to Mr Prinsloo, News24 and MINA” according to Mr Strydom.

Asked to comment on Mr Prinsloo comment in the News24 article “that he was framed by the two current accused”, Mr Strydom replied- “the investigation is not concluded, and the public will soon get a clear picture”

MINA regrets the error and apologises for publishing incorrect information.
