Website Changes
Welcome to the new, secure version of the Mozambique Website. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the downtime and the delay in getting the Mozambique Website back up after it's downtime.

Everyday websites across the internet face an increasing number of hacking attempts. The Mozambique website was no exception. Last year we detected several attempts to hack the website. Luckily none of the hacks were successful and the website, including databases remained secure. However, we were aware of areas where the website was vulnerable to attacks and we needed to take some time to patch up these vulnerabilities so that any hacking attempts in the future remain unsuccessful.

To increase security we have also installed SSL Certificates. You will notice that all pages on the website now have https:// security. This step ensures that any information you send or recieve from the website cannot be intercepted.

We have made it even easier to list Accommodation, Restaurants, Activity Centers, Travel Agents and other Businesses. Our Classifieds section has also been overhauled to make it easier to post new items and we will be adding a section where people can make requests for items they are looking for.

There are a few final touches that we still need to add to the website, and most of our databases are still having information added to them. Remember that we are always on hand to help. If you find something that doesn't seem to be working the way you expect it to, let us know and we will be happy to assist. We thank you for your patience during this time and look forward to having you browse the new site.
Tourist Articles
For those who are travelling to Mozambique, or for accommodation owners, remember that we have a few informational articles on our website. We are planning to add more. However, in the meantime, some of the articles we have already posted include:

Information that first time travelers to Mozambique need, including Passport, Visa, Documentation and other preparations. Information on Malaria, its symptoms, treatment and the common question about whether to take prophylaxis or not. We also include an article of vehicle requirements for foreign registered vehicles. We’ve got information on border posts, and will be adding border procedures soon. Foreign drivers should also be aware of the road laws and general driving guidelines for Mozambique.

There are a few other articles, including Traveller Allowances, recommended First Aid Kit, Mozambique Embassies around the world, Beach, Boat and Fishing regulations as well as others. Take a look at the full list of Tourist Articles. Remember that you can also download PDF copies of the articles and send them to your customers if they require additional information.
