Published: 2017-10-15
Fastjet, Africa’s low-cost airline, today announced its domestic flight schedules in Mozambique after winning its second consecutive African Low-Cost airline award at the World Travel Awards in Kigali, Rwanda, last night. This is the second year that fastjet receives this award and it joins the award received in June this year as Best Low Cost African Airline at the Skytrax World Travel Awards.

Fastjet announced its schedules at the Mozambican International Tourism Fair held at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre and the flights are now on sale at www.fastjet.com. The launch routes are between Maputo and Beira, Maputo and Tete and Maputo and Nampula, with the first flight scheduled for November 3, 2017.

Fastjet, which currently operates in Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, is the first regular low-cost carrier to enter the Mozambican market. Fastjet will serve Mozambique with an Embraer E145 50-seat aircraft. The fastjet brand enters Mozambique in partnership with Solenta Aviation Mozambique.
